Mill Street Beer Hall to celebrate Oktoberfest with seasonal favourites
TORONTO, ON – On September 26, the Mill Street Beer Hall will be hosting their annual Oktoberfest celebration, so dust off your dirndls and launder your lederhosen because the festivities are fast approaching. The night will include live music and entertainment, a traditional Bavarian menu and steins of the 12 Mill Street brews on tap, featuring the first batch of the newly reintroduced Oktoberfest Lager. The German-style beer is sure to bring a taste of authentic Bavarian culture to the streets of Toronto.
In true Bavarian Oktoberfest festival tradition, the first batch of the rich blend of malt, hops and yeast in the Oktoberfest Lager will be cask tapped for everyone to enjoy.
To keep the Oktoberfest festivities going, Mill Street is re-launching the limited edition Autumn Harvest Seasonal Pack ($13.45) at the LCBO at the beginning of September that includes the festival favourite, Oktoberfest Lager, and the seasonal treat, Nightmare on Mill Street Pumpkin Ale.
To join the Mill Street Beer Hall Oktoberfest celebration, tickets will be on sale at the Mill Street Brewpub retail store for $30.00.
About the Mill Street Autumn Harvest Sampler beers from Brewmaster, Joel Manning:
Nightmare on Mill Street (5.0% ABV): I had no idea how to make this beer so I asked my wife for her pumpkin pie recipe and based it on that! Great pie translates into great beer as it turns out! A modern interpretation of the old pioneer brews from the American colonies in the late 17th and 18th Centuries made using pumpkin since malt was scarce. Might be the best Mill Street beer name ever…!
Oktoberfest (5.5% ABV): Uber-traditional German-style Marzen beer. It is perfect for the changing seasons as it is a lager with the full malt character that helps usher in the cooler fall temperatures.
