Exploring the Brewing Process: Yeast

Brewers do not make beer; Yeast makes beer. All day on Tuesday September 18th during Toronto Beer Week in the Beer Academy Tasting Room we will take you on an interactive journey through the brewing process, and will dissect everything that happens after the brewday during fermentation – this is where beer is really created.

During our focus on yeast we will look at it in a few different forms, discuss how the wide variety of yeast strains have helped to create specific beer styles, and examine the specific flavour profiles that can be created by yeast and compare them to the beers they have actually made.

12pm – 7pm at the Beer Academy Tasting Room, with special presentations between noon and 1pm, and 4 and 6pm.
