Join us in the Beer Academy Tasting Room on Monday September 17th during Toronto Beer Week to examine this seemingly simple ingredient that can have a profound effect on the quality and flavour of your beer. Water not only changes the outcome of the beer that you make, but it has also shaped how beer styles have evolved across the globe, and has helped to fashion some of the world’s most iconic beer styles.
All day in the Tasting Room we will take you through an interactive tour of the brewing process and explain how water can affect the art of brewing and the finished beer. We will sample a variety of forms of water and look at the minerals and chemicals that can be found in them, and the positive or negative affects they can contribute to beer.
12pm – 7pm at the Beer Academy Tasting Room, with special presentations between noon and 1pm, and 4 and 6pm.
