Join us in the Beer Academy Tasting Room during Toronto Beer Week on Wednesday September 19th as we take an exploratory look into the brewing process, and break down the ways that hops affect beer. We will look at different hops varieties and their characteristics, different forms of hops and how they can be used, and we’ll taste hop teas and examples of beers brewed with specific hop varieties.
Many brewers will tell you that creating a new delicious beer is like cooking – working in the kitchen with a range of ingredients to forge exciting flavours and sensations. In the brewer’s pantry of ingredients, hops are definitely found in the spice drawer.
12pm – 7pm, with special presentations between noon and 1pm, and 4 and 6pm.
