In celebration of our 25th anniversary Creemore Springs Brewery presents our first ale. This is no ordinary ale. It is a Düsseldorf-style Altbier, meaning ‘old beer.’ It is one of the oldest and rarest beer styles in the world. Zum Schlüssel, an institution in Düsseldorf for over 160 years, is sharing their vast knowledge of making Altbier and their special strain of yeast with us. It’s Ontario’s first transatlantic collaboration.
Join Creemore brewers Gord Fuller and Bryan Egan for a Canadian-German beer and food experience. Gord and Bryan will guide visitors through an Altbier sampling and ceremonial cask tapping. German inspired local food samples (including local artisan cheeses) will be provided courtesy of chef Chris Boland from Boland’s Open Kitchen.
The first 500 visitors will also receive a free traditional Altbier glass!
