For this event in the Canadian Beer News Dinner Series, we’ll be presenting an evening of UK-influenced beer and food, as the classic ales of Guelph’s Wellington Brewery will be paired with the modern English cuisine of chef Ben Heaton and his team at The Grove, one of Toronto’s most critically acclaimed new restaurants.
Wellington was the first modern brewery in North America to brew traditional cask-conditioned ale, and one of their cask pumps takes pride of place on the bar at The Grove. So we can surely expect a cask ale or two to be served during this dinner, along with a selection of other regular and seasonal brands from the Wellington line-up.
This event will also be part of the 3rd annual Toronto Beer Week, a nine day celebration of beer and brewing that will take place at bars, pubs and restaurants throughout the city from September 14th to 22nd, 2012.
Seating to this exclusive dinner will be limited to 40 spots, so those interested in attending are encouraged to act quickly to avoid disappointment.
