Barrel Bragging Rights – Critique the Critics

Come critique the critics! Barrel Bragging Rights returns to The Monk’s Table, pairing Toronto’s best beer writers with the province’s best breweries. Their one-off beers will be served out of 38L oak barrels, creating a memorable drinking experience that you won’t find anywhere else! The pairings are:

• Matt Caldwell (One Beer At A Time) with Erica Graholm from Steam Whistle
• Graham Duncan (NOW) with Duggan’s
• Crystal Luxmore (The Grid) with the Granite
• Josh Rubin (The Toronto Star) with Black Oak
• Chris Schryer (Toronto Beer Blog) with Cheshire Valley
• Jordan St. John (Saint John’s Wort and QMI) with Beau’s
• Michael Warner (A Year of Beer!) with Amsterdam

One beer will be crowned victor, picked by an esteemed judging panel featuring Stephen Beaumont (acclaimed beer writer), Jon Downing (brewmaster of the Niagara College Teaching Brewery) and Chris Grimley (one-half of last year’s winning team). Entrance includes a branded glass, nibbles provided by the Monk’s Table and unlimited beer until the barrels run dry. There are no advance tickets, so come early to avoid disappointment.
